| Abstract: |
We derive the performance of post-detection-combining (PDC) overRayleigh fading channels with impulsive noise and compare it withmaximum-ratio-combining (MRC). The bit error rates (BER) andsimple upper and lower bounds are derived in closed form for thefirst time in the literature for these two techniques overimpulsive noise channels. We show how the impulsive noisedeteriorates the performance compared with Gaussian noise. PDC isshown to be more robust to impulsive noise than MRC, especiallywhen the number of antenna is large. Simulation resultscorroborate our analysis. |
