Title: PARAMETERIZED AND ENERGY EFFICIENT ADAPTIVE BEAMFORMING ON FPGAs USING MATLAB/SIMULINK
Authors: Jingzhao Ou; University of Southern California

Abstract: Adaptive beamforming is widely used in many sonar and telecommunication systems. FPGAs have high computation ability and are an ideal choice for implementing these applications. As more emphasis is placed on energy efficiency, we show in this paper how to develop parameterized and energy efficient adaptive beamforming applications on FPGAs using MATLAB/Simulink based system-level design tools. Experimental results are given to show that up to 51% energy reduction can be achieved using our design approach.
