| Abstract: | We propose a novel color image enhancement method, Human visualsystem Controlled Color Image Enhancement and Evaluation (HCCIEE)algorithm, and applied to color image by considering naturalimage quality metrics. This HCCIEE algorithm is based onmultiscale representation of pattern, luminance and colorprocessing in the human visual system. Experiments illustratedthe HCCIEE algorithm can produce distinguished details whileavoids artifacts, which often occur in conventional multiscaleenhancement methods, as well as the production of images thatappear as similar as possible to the viewer's perception of actual scenes. | ||
